Allow an hour for an easy walk on the pavement then on a well made path circling Farland Point.

From Millport Pier, take the main road following the coast, past the Garrison and the Crocodile Rock to Kames Bay. Follow the promenade round Kames Bay walk on to the end where the road swings round to the left. At the end of the grassy area to your right, pass through the gate (please remember to close it) and take the well made path out to Farland Point. From here you will have great views of Millport town and the hills of Arran. Follow this path to the next gate and turn left to come back to the town. Alternatively, make a stop at the Marine Station and view the museum and aquarium.
